According to a poll in which 2000 British women were surveyed, Kate Middleton is the top beauty icon in the UK. This is the third year in a row that the Duchess of Cambridge has topped the poll.
“Kate has secured her place in the nation’s hearts,” said Simon Comins of Superdrug, who conducted the Beauty Icons of 2013 study. “And she has cemented her position as a beauty icon. The Duchess is always immaculately presented, but it is styled in a way the average person can relate to, and take inspiration from. Our customers definitely take note of Kate’s look.”
Coming in second place was British TV presenter/model Holly Willoughby. The list also included British singer Cheryl Cole, lingerie model/TV presenter Abbey Clancy, singer Adele, and model Cara Delevingne.
The only non-Brits to place in the top ten were Beyonce (number three), Angelina Jolie (number six), and Nicole Scherzinger (number seven).
