After the Kashmir schedule of the Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif action thriller was postponed last year, the makers have decided to shoot those portions in Shimla and Manali. The unrest in the Valley forced the director, Siddharth Anand, to call off a marathon schedule in Kashmir because a day before the actors were to land in the place — often described as heaven on earth — infiltrators attacked.

Confirming the development, Siddharth said, "Kashmir is an ideal and a dream location for those scenes in my film. But after all the film has gone through — first, a cancellation of the schedule when infiltrators attacked a CRPF camp and then Hrithik's unfortunate health issues and surgery — I don't want to take any chances. More so, because it's a 45-day schedule. Had it been a week-long spell, I'd have still gone to Kashmir. But now I've changed the setting of those scenes — I won't shoot in Manali and call it Kashmir — it will be called Manali. It's a beautiful place. We've worked hard on the locations and won't compromise on the visual appeal of the movie."
