JB’s got one message for all of his critics — he cannot be broken. A song by Justin called ‘Broken’ leaked late on Feb. 21, making a fierce statement in the face of his arrests and many scandals. Listen to the track below!
Ever since Justin Bieber was arrested for DUI — and then charged with assault shortly after — on Jan. 23, we’ve been waiting for his public response. We finally got it about a month later when his song “Broken” surfaced online on Feb. 21.
Justin Bieber Responds With ‘Broken’
Straight away, Justin makes it clear that this song (which was uploaded to YouTube and then taken down) is in reaction to all the hate he’s received after his arrest:
I guess they want a reaction
I ain’t gonna give it to ‘em
They’re trying to get at me
I ain’t gonna feed into it
And the main message of the song comes through in the chorus, where Justin repeats “I cannot be broken.” It’s a fierce, clear statement in the wake of what has been an unbelievably scandalous start of 2014 for the singer.
The song is also saying that even as everyone demands that Justin get help or even go to rehab, he’s not going to change and is just going to keep doing what he wants, because he knows what’s best for him. We’re glad to see the Biebs standing up for himself, but at the same time some humility might serve him well during these bumpy times.
