5 times Salman Khan Took A Dig At Shah Rukh Khan

Year 2014 has indeed been a roller-coaster ride for the fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. While Shah Rukh and Salman's picture with Arpita made everyone believe that the 'Khan- war' had indeed come to an end, we are still not sure of the real story behind this. The 'on' and 'off' friendship status of Shah Rukh and Salman has always grabbed headlines and this time too, it was no different. Even after their famous 'hug' at Baba Siddiqui's iftaar party, Salman had stressed on the fact that they both are not really 'friends.' And the equation does not seem to have changed much after Arpita's wedding. Let's take a look at those five times when Salman Khan took a dig at Shah Rukh.

During the 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode of Bigg Boss, Sonakshi Sinha came on the sets of the show to promote her film Action Jackson. After introducing Sonakshi as the new 'slim' and 'smart' Sonakshi, Salman threw the expected question at her. He asked, "In teeno mein se aapka favourite co-actor kaun hai- Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan?" When Sonakshi asked him why he only took these three names, Salman gave her three more choices - Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh. "Salman kyunki ab to aapka aur Shah Rukh ka vo ho gaya hai na, to package deal mein aa jayega," Sonakshi said. Salman quipped, "Koi kuch nahi hua hai. Nahi nahi koi kuch nahi hua hai. No package deal."

This was not the first time, when Salman made people think about what actually is brewing between the Khans. During one such eviction episode of Bigg Boss 8, where Sukirti was evicted, Salman Khan had again taken a dig at his equation with Shah Rukh. Salman had asked Sukirti whom she was more comfortable with - Arya Babbar or Upen Patel? To this Sukirti had replied, "Maine unka naam Karan- Arjun rakha tha, I like them equally. Wo dono hamesha saath rehte hain." To this Salman had said, "Par ye Karan- Arjun saath mein nahi hote hain. Ye Karan Arjun alag alag raaste chale gaye hain, apna apna kaam kar rahe hain."

Be it through his statements or through his gestures, Salman knows how to keep the audience entertained. And his constant digs at Shah Rukh Khan always leave the audience in splits. At the 8th Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards, Salman did not miss the chance to pull Shah Rukh's legs. "My name is actually Khan and actually I am not a terrorist, I am an actor," he said.

While Shah Rukh Khan's recently released Happy New Year broke many box office records, media pundits and critics did not seem to agree. While Jaya Bachchan tagged the film as 'non-sensical', critics gave the movie 'below average' ranking. Salman too did not forget to take a jibe on the movie. During another 'Weekend Ka Vaar' episode, Salman Khan was trying to explain to the inmates that whatever happens inside the house is shown as it is outside the house. He further said, "It’s not like if you go to watch Happy New Year, they will show you PK, unless you have gone to see PK in first place!”
