When Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa, he probably never imagined that one day it might end up like this.But artist Rodney Pike just couldn’t resist the opportunity to give the iconic portrait an unlikely makeover – by adding in Rowan Atkinson’s face instead.
Pike, who hails from Louisiana, said the idea was borne out of his love of both classic art and the rubber-faced Mr Bean star, whom he encountered when living in the UK for three years in the Nineties – a perfect combination as far as he is concerned.
‘Rowan Atkinson can make any situation funny no matter how absurd,’ he explained.
And the Mona Lisa isn’t the only painting that the funnyman has found his way into:
