As the Biebs’ neighborhood speeding scandal rages on, his rapper friend took to Twitter to try to take full responsibility for the incident and clear up any confusion.
HollywoodLife.com first reported EXCLUSIVELY that Justin Bieber wasn’t the one dangerously joyriding in his Calabasas, Calif. gated community on May 27 — it was actually Tyler, The Creator! And on June 1, the rapper took to Twitter to reiterate that he was the one with the lead foot who should be held responsible. Not Justin.
Tyler, The Creator: ‘That Was Me Behind The Wheel’
“That Was Me Behind The Wheel Of Justins Vehicle. Don’t Blame Him. People Are Actually Evil Swearing Up And Down That It Was Who It Wasnt,” Tyler tweeted on June 1, clearly doing everything in his power to clear Justin’s name.
A source close to Justin and Tyler explained the whole situation to us exclusively, and it definitely concurs with Tyler’s tweet:
Tyler was with Justin all weekend and he asked if he could take Justin’s car for a spin. Justin walked outside to grab the car and pull it into the garage once Tyler was back from driving around. But when he saw the police outside he walked back in because he didn’t want to get involved since he wasn’t the one driving. Tyler tried to tell police that he was the one driving but no one would listen to him.
When we asked the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department about Tyler possibly being the driver, they said they were “investigating” all angles of the case.
Keyshawn Johnson: Justin Bieber Was The Driver
There is still at least one person who doesn’t believe Tyler’s story — Justin’s retired NFL star neighbor Keyshawn Johnson. “I know the difference between a black kid driving a car and white kid driving a car… I got biracial kids,” he told TMZ.
Keyshawn believes Justin is hiding behind his handlers and shirking responsibility for endangering the community with his speed demon ways. But he might have had his anger directed at the wrong person all along.
As it stands now, police have written up a reckless driving report on Justin that they are presenting to the district attorney’s office. The D.A. will then decided whether to prosecute Justin or not.
What do you think is really going on in all this, HollywoodLifers? Do you believe Tyler? Let us know!
