A few days back there were reports that Katrina Kaif at a party which was attended by Ranbir Kapoor‘s father Rishi Kapoor, greeted the veteran actor warmly and apparently asked, “Hi Papa, how are you?” Obviously, the moment everyone got a wind of it, it was all over the media. Now, for someone who admits about being close to getting married, calling his father Papa by his girlfriend isn’t a big deal. We do it all the time which is a sign of a natural progression in a relationship. While we found it sweet, we don’t think Ranbir took it too warmly. He refuted the claim that Katrina calls Rishi Kapoor Papa!
Ranbir Kapoor was talking to the press at the success party of Tamasha, when someone asked him if it’s true that Katrina addresses his father as Papa. The actor dismissed it completely. He said, “No, it’s not true. She doesn’t call him papa. She calls him Rishiji.” And with that one sentenced, he silenced everyone who were almost hearing the faint wedding bells of this Kapoor lad. But then Ranbir, how does it matter. As long as Katrina respects him as her beau’s father, it’s enough. After all, what’s in a name!
Well, guess we have to put our celebratory mood on hold since we were already preparing us to report Ranbir Kapoor’s marriage next. But turns out there is still time. Just wondering, we don’t think Rishi Kapoor would mind if Katrina calls him PAPA. Would he?
